So, let me preface this as: This is crazy talk. When I was in a quiet time, the thought came into my head (and although I wrote it down at the time, I cannot quote it), that God was going to punish our nations for our murdering babies by not giving us babies.
I know, it sounds crazy. I thought it was crazy. Women are going to stop having babies because we as the Church have not ended abortion? Look, if we allow something to happen (and I am totally preaching to myself here), that we could’ve prevented, or at least warned someone about, part of the blame is on us.
No, I’m not going to quote or imply Ezekiel. But the thought was basically like I thought it. But why would I think that? I’m not a prophet, by any means. Nor would I like to be thought of in that way.
So it’s crazy. But you can test anyone’s prediction of the future very easily: Wait and see if it happens. The Rapture? Revelation? Wait and see if it happens.
This thought came to me a few months ago, and I felt like there was some truth to it (although I had no reason to believe or doubt it).
So, if there is a mechanism in the future, in which many women are unable to conceive, or keep a pregnancy, or infant mortality skyrockets, I will have reason to pay more attention to what I listen to in my quiet time with God. But it may not be so, so I’m not saying, ”Hear me,”
People say that if you talk to God, that’s prayer, but if God speaks to You, you are mentally ill. I am mentally ill. I hear stuff in my head all the time. But Moses heard God’s voice. Abraham heard God. Every true prophet in the Old Testament and many in the early church heard from God. And I am not in their league by any means. But we must acknowledge that there is a spiritual dimension that is stacked on top of ours. That extends beyond our ability to imagine or comprehend. Because to be willfully ignorant of the possibility isn’t scientific. It’s arrogant. It’s dangerous. And we, our families, our nation, and the world, will be completely vulnerable to what’s out there.
Ephesians 6:12
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Maybe I should’ve started with that. God’s Word is superior to anything I can think or say. And you might think that’s crazy. But ignoring Christianity for a moment, Jews, Muslims, Hindus all study sacred texts and believe they have a lot to teach us about.. well, everything.
It’s just that I’m claiming the exclusivity of Christ compared to any other way. That’s what’s offensive. I’m claiming to be right and saying that other religions are wrong. I’m not being “inclusive”. Well, inclusivity, diversity, and “wokeness” is some of the most divisive, offensive, Marxist doctrine that has come to America yet. And it’s just Marxism, except that instead of the bourgeoise versus the working class, this time it’s skin pigmentation,. Not race, after all, we can have organ transplants and blood transfusions, which, if the “races” had evolved independently, scientifically could not be.
It points to common ancestors, Adam and Eve. Genesis isn’t just exposition. It’s not a parable, or a fairy story, it’s fact.
