Gnosticism

You’ve seen this lion headed serpent thing floating around. It’s one of the core beliefs of gnosticism, the series of beliefs centering on the idea that secret knowledge will get you to Heaven.

Gnosticism was fought violently by the Churxh fathers, particularly in 1, 2, and 3 John. If you are a Christian and you are struggling with this, start by reading those.

Gnosticism also contains the belief that everything material is inherently evil, and everything spiritual is good. So, then, if spirits are inherently good, why are there unclean ones?

“God is light and in Him is no darkness” God isn’t a flawed craftsman, but the “Father of lights”

The God of the Old Testament doesn’t tag team a nicer, friendlier version a few hundred years before Christ. “I do not change” “therefore you are not deatroyed” He spares Israel again and again, and will ultimately redeem them and the Church.

Jesus is called “True and Faithful”, He doesn’t hijack a religion to promote another one.

And the test is, which may not be helpful to some, that Christ will return in a glorified body to Rapture the church, bring the Tribulation, and then establish His Kingdom.
