Hey guys,
Since this whole corona thing I’ve not really felt like I’ve had the bandwidth to make comics. I need to find a way to push myself to do that. I have been working on some tabletop material and testing out Astral, a new tabletop engine for the computer.
The funny thing is that I’ve actually got two campaigns I’m thinking about at the same time, one a space opera, and another a kind of Smallville campaign about secrets at the lake house. Well, I don’t even know if anyone will play them, but I kind of feel like statting things up and using specific rules or maybe even strict concepts may be making my writing too limited. I am journaling, and doodling, and occasionally drawing.
So, for Spielleter, I think I will come back to it one day, and I intend to make that “Name that Cat” character, but for now, I don’t see myself attempting a career in comics, even if it’s self published. I guess we’ll see. I’ve had a lot of settings on the back burner ever since 2018, and they crop up in other areas of my creativity. I loved Spielleter’s premise, loved the characters, and maybe I can come back to it, but I also feel like I lack the finesse to really make the graphic novel look good.
Well, more later,
Trem
