Dear Father,

Thank you for this day. Although I’ve been clean for about a month.. I notice that addictive personality traits continue to pop up in areas. If you beat it in food, you might deal with it in another area. And you are never really free of the temptation to go back to the old habits.

I’m really missing group therapy, and wondering if I can schedule something through C&C. I probably need to call them, as well as make an appointment with my car dealership to get my recall taken care of.

Not a lot else is going on. I went to bed probably about 10 or 1030, and woke up several times. After about 930 I couldn’t go back to sleep. I’m reading the Mediterranean Diet Cookbook for dummies. It has a lot of helpful advice, some of which I already knew. I.E. Portion sizes, making minor changes to your habits instead of going all gung-ho only to crumble with your first failure.

So, I’m going to try to look at the book, maybe I can make something special for lunch or supper. Need to get some things in stock, particularly olives, vinegrette based dressing, and maybe some avocadoes. I also need to help finish off the apples before they go bad. It’s going to take a lot of adjustment, but I think it will be good long term. In addition, I want to shoot for cardio three times a week. Maybe at some point I will add weights to my work out, but one thing at a time.

Immediate goals

1) 30 min of exercise 3x a week

2) Buy/eat healthier snacks, including almonds, peanuts, etc., andmaybe a bag of salad along with an oil based dressing (Italian for instance) rather than a cream one (ranch).

More later.

Love,

Trem
