Did you hear the good news?

So, I got several messages from a friend on fb who I believe was hacked. They were trying to get information, by telling me about a “government grant” and this was good news.

Let me tell you the good news. But I have to get you lost before you can get saved.

1) Everyone has done wrong. So much wrong, as a result of Adam’s sin and sin in us (Romans 3:23)

2) Sin, even one little sin, is enough to separate us from God for all eternity (hell) (Romans 6:23)

3) Jesus paid the penalty for our sins, so we wouldn’t end up there. (Romans 5:8)

4) “If you confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall belive in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved,”

It’s that simple. You confess your sins, you ask Jesus to forgive you. You ask Him to be Savior and Lord of your life.

5) Call on Jesus Name. Then you will be saved. (Romans 10:13)

Assurance of salvation

“Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1)

Nothing can separate you now from God’s love in Christ. Not sin, not Satan, not death.

(Romans 8:35-39)

That is the good news. If you believed and received Jesus today, commit to getting a copy of the bible, reading it daily. Go to a church that teaches God’s Word. Pray daily to God. When you mess up, confess your sin. Not so much “I’m sorry, please forgive me,” But “I sinned/I did wrong/I made a huge mistake), please forgive me” It’s the actual confession of the sin, and the wrongness of it. Now you are agreeing with God. Now God will forgive you.

Get baptized (immersed), and pledge a good conscience towards God. Your journey has eternal implications.
