So, in addition to my own personal projects, I’m considering a digital library. Basically a web page with links to tools that help with world building, making comics and tabletops. Maybe it will be more later. I could just as easily set one up here. But I’m not sure that’s best. I don’t know where to put it, if there should be a fee to access it, or what.
But I’ve been thinking about something like this for a long time. I wanted to do a tabletop library of original material stocked by things my friends and I have made. I’ve wanted to do a local “comic party” where experienced artists/writers tutor people in those areas. It hasn’t worked yet, but those are things I would like to work toward.
I’ve got a lot of things I want to do before the close of the year. Completing the first few pages of Spielleter as it iwas originally intended (a graphic novella). A few other projects. I have wanted for years to host a “harvest party” basically a Halloween party, but more focused on food and maybe board games or something.
October is always a hard month for me, and two of my best friends’ lost their dads in the month of October.
But I feel like I’m still being selfish with my ambitions, and not sure how to fix that. I really want to try to use my creativity for income instead of the traditional careers. But if that is not feasible, I will find a way, Lord willing, to use them for the benefit of others, be it kids books specifically for my cousins, the occasional painting given to a family member, or perhaps helping someone write in a non-academic setting.
So, I’ve laid it out. Now to put it on the calendar, treat it like a paid project, and do it.
