So, I know I’m kind of fiery with my writing. But if there’s one thing I want you to know it’s this: Jesus loves you. He doesn’t just want you to believe in Him. He wants you to have a relationship with Him, and through Him, with God the Father.
The best I can give you is my testimony. When I was a kid, I was an only child of a single mother. I was lonely all the time. I was in despair, an angry, lonely despair. Mom took me to church when I was little. I was rude, impatient, and always ready to leave. But then one day I started listening. I learned of a Savior, Jesus, who would take my sin, and adopt me into His family. So I wouldn’t be lonely, anymore..
So, I prayed, as best as I could, simply, for Jesus to come into my life and change my heart. He did. The anger melted away like smelly cotton candy in running water. It was gone. The despair was gone, too. It was like in the bottom of my dry soul, there was a spring of water. It was slow going, and after I got saved, my life didn’t magically improve. It actually got much worse, but I found I had the ability to cope better. I had peace.
So, Jesus changed my life. And he can change yours. I can use apologetics, refer you to a bible you may or may not have read. But I am alive today, and living abundantly in spite of my circumstances.
So whatever I may say, or not say, that’s what I want you to know. That Jesus made my life livable, and no matter what you’ve been through, or what your circumstances are, He will see you through, too, if You will trust in Him. He came to this earth to give us life, and more abundant life. And He is coming again to judge the living and the dead. Make peace with God through Jesus. There is no other Way.
“There is no other Rock. I know not one,” says God of Himself. And Jesus is the cornerstone. “The Stone which the builder’s rejected..” Okay, now I’m quoting scripture.
Hope that helps.
